Final Spyder Kan

This is one of my favorites:

I had run out of Spyder legs, so I wondered if I could attach the thorax to a Killa Kan and add Kan legs:

Using liberal amounts of greenstuff and removing the small pre-existing folded up legs from the thorax, I used the holes in the thorax to insert 2 Kan legs

Once the legs are added, I pinned the thorax to the Kan body (have been using paper clips as pinning rods ever since a friend from Grimdark Gaming advised):

I added a bit of greenstuff for stability and to cover up the gaps. Loctite super glue works well with it, while liquid cement does not:

Added 2 more legs using the usual method:

And based it:

For gluing plastic to plastic, I love this glue-works in seconds and melts the 2 bits together. Does not work on greenstuff:

I toyed with the idea of Spyder arms in these holes, but went with the mandibles from the canoptic leeches from the Tesseract box. Putty is excellent for sticking bits on to see how they look so you can remove them later.

Using leftover Kan arms, I was able to craft 2 more legs- just removed the wrist bits and locked the arm to the foot bits using greenstuff. The arm is held to the Kan body with plastic glue (pinning would also be good, but I'll just make sure I don't drop the model):

Added the regular Kan arms, bringing the total limb count to 8. Went with Rokkit Launchers as they will likely be the most useful on the table

I added a second magnetized weapon just because I built it. Maybe too much...

Finally , I added the Kan lid. I wanted to have the top slightly open with a grot sticking out. Ended up having a leftover ark from the Snotling Football team box sticking out and a small scarab from the Tesseract box poking out. Hoping to imply that this is a "The Mummy" situation where the Kan is full of scarabs eating the occupants, but it's likely too subtle

Hope you all liked it! Back to the Monolith now
